My apologies for not sending out the monthly notice for October. My bad. However, a baker's dozen remembered (woo hoo) which allowed more critique time and a short "Shop Talk" session. It's all good. :)
FWA once again experienced a wonderful yearly conference. From the feedback I've been getting, it sounds like everyone had a swell time! Our local groups made their mark with several members taking first places, honorable mentions, etc. Mary Lois Sanders took three top awards which included YA; Elementary Middle Grade and Short Story Published. Jack Hayes, Educational/Informational, Unpub. catagory. Charlene Meeker, Juvenile Fiction Pub., Tom Bender Childrens unpub. , Mark Newhouse, Children's Elementary Middle Grade, Pete Shianna, Mainstream pub. & Susan Boyd, Mainstream, Published. I hope I haven't missed anyone. Pls. check main FWA website at for all details. Congratulations to each one of you! May you all make the "Best Seller" list!
